Habitat II Follow-up
The formal end of the Habitat II Conference marked the beginning of a major new phase on the journey, namely, follow-up in the form of monitoring and implementing the Habitat Agenda - the Partnership Plan of Action. The very first step was to obtain a disk copy of the Habitat Agenda, to make the full text available on the Habitat II Web site, and to send notification of its online availability to interested electronic mailing lists - on the same day that the document was agreed to by Member States.

Habitat II
Managed the technical aspects of the NGO registration process; generated interim and final reports on NGO registration; maintained liaison with the Habitat II Secretariat, collecting official documents and UN press releases and making the available via electronic mailing lists and the Habitat II and UN web sites; technical assistance to NGO participants in Internet access - from notebook computers and computer terminals; attended Partners hearings and the closing session of Habitat II.

NGO Forum '96
Coordinated Information Habitat's team and workshops; led workshops; managed and enhanced the FORUM96 database and its local area network; team and its events and activities; supervised team of local volunteers to update the database and assist in generating conference schedules - for print and posting to the Forum '96 web site - and signs for each venue with the daily schedules; resolved scheduling conflicts and adjusted event schedules; resolved numerous communication failures concerning requested events.

Habitat II Online Partnership Plan of Action
Conceived, developed and implemented a comprehensive strategy for exchange of, and access to, information among partners in preparation for the 1996 Habitat II Conference; managed and moderated electronic mailing lists for Habitat II participants and for related NGO Committees and networks; generated directories of NGO participants; established and maintained a web site for Habitat II that was recognized as the official conference site; developed structured web site for the Habitat Agenda and for follow-up to the agreements reached by U.N. Member States.

Huairou Commission - Women, Homes & Communities SuperCoalition
