Reconciliation in 16 Colours

Reconciliation in 16 Colours

A set of seventy-two images with the primary protagonists of the War of Terror that erupted on September 11, 2001 - President George W. Bush, Vice-President Dick Cheney, and Secretary of State Colin Powell and Osama bin Laden - against backgrounds of the Light and Colour Cubes transposed into sixteen colour palettes. The images serve as visual metaphors for how perception of our "enemies" can be distorted when we see them from a limited palette, and one in which their colours are only partially represented in our own spectrum. Reconciliation in 16 Colours was created as a centrepiece of a Journey of Light, Reconciliation and Peace in response to September 11.
